Been running for 4-5 years with a lot of consistency in last couple of years.Įdit: Wanted to add training was a blast, I was pretty tired and looked forward to my down weeks but I really enjoyed and was hitting workouts that I didn’t expect to be able to. Should I just leave it be and pick up a fall marathon?įeel free to critique any of my thinking.ģ3F. Could I do one in May instead say 5/14 (there is one locally.) My marathon on 4/16 is probably totally blown. (Again I will back off any foot thing continues.) Probably something like 30->50->60km per week for next three weeks seems reasonable. Where do I go from here? Obviously take a lot of care. Seeing a physio (thinks I dislocated something close to cuboid and the peroneal tendon is inflamed and still irritated as a result with some mild plantar fasciitis confusing things) and doing shockwave therapy now which is working.Īlso caught covid which hit me pretty intensely and figured what the hell maybe the rest also fixes the foot (didn’t.) Here’s my weekly mileage Week 00 - 56km Week 01 - 55km Week 02 - 61km Week 03 - 65km Week 04 - 70km Week 05 - 50km (stomach flu) Week 06 - 76km Week 07 - 80km Week 08 - 85km Week 09 - 80km Week 10 - 17km (injured foot) Week 11 - 21km Week 12 - 64km Week 13 - 38km (foot injury flares up) Week 14 - 0 (caught covid) Week 15 - 0īy start of week 10 I was feeling as fit as I had ever been and put up a pretty significant PR in the 10km (50:45 from 54:33 a year ago.)īut then I hurt my foot pretty badly and it’s persisted for more than a month now. Prior to starting the block I was running ~50km a week for two months. I was training for a marathon on 4/16 using JDs 2Q but with mileage progression similar to 18/55. Submitted by South-Wallab圓123 to PlantarFasciitis Ģ023.03.25 20:14 Intrepid_Impression8 Where to now after injury disrupted my marathon training block Could this possibly be Plantar fasciitis or is it something else since its not in my heel? Since its the weekend i cant call my PC doctor to make an appointment. The pain is more in the arch of my foot and I can not lay my foot flat with my toes flat on the ground because of the pain. Thats actually the only way I can walk on my right foot at all. But im not sure if its Plantar fasciitis because I dont have any heel pain. ![]() When I woke up this morning and I tried to put weight on my right foot I about fell over because of the amount of pain I was in. Yesterday I woke up and my right foot felt more sore than usual especially the arch aera and I massaged it with this message gun I have but thought nothing more about it. So im on my feet most days so its not uncommon where my feet are sore. ![]() So ive never actually heard of Plantar fasciitis untill a few hours ago when I was Googling what could possibly be causing me pain. ![]()
